Ravens tie up Canterbury kit deal

With the new season firmly on the horizon, Bridgend Ravens are delighted to have signed a deal with Canterbury to become the club’s new kit supplier.

Established in 1904 in Canterbury, New Zealand, Canterbury currently produce kit for some of the world’s most famous and successful sides. Amongst them are the British and Irish Lions and English and Irish national sides.

Canterbury recently secured a partnership with our region, The Ospreys, and they have now penned a deal to supply Bridgend Ravens’ playing kit and leisurewear for the next two seasons. The partnership marks another significant step in Bridgend’s preparation for the new season which has been enhanced with a number of new commercial partners signing up to align themselves with Bridgend Ravens along with a number of key signings adding to Matt Silva’s squad.

Director of Rugby, Wayne Hall was delighted to have secured a partnership with Canterbury.

‘It’s back to a true rugby recognised brand supplying our playing kit at Bridgend Ravens. We’ve worked closely with Ben at Canterbury and he’s been a breath of fresh air. He’s been on point and accurate and nothing has been too much trouble.

The players love what they have seen from our playing kit and leisurewear so far and feel very comfortable in it. We’ve attracted new sponsors (to be announced shortly) that have been really impressed with our partnership with Canterbury.

The deal further reinforces our relationship with the Ospreys who will also have their playing and leisurewear produced by Canterbury.’

Ben Russell of Canterbury commented ‘We are very excited to announce the Bridgend RFC and Canterbury partnership as their sportswear supplier for the 2017-18 & 2018-19 seasons.

Alongside the Ospreys partnership, Canterbury are keen to work further in the region and hope that this is the start of an ongoing relationship for years to come.  There will be some exciting new initiatives that we will be launching with Bridgend RFC and are really looking forward to seeing the CCC badge around the region.’
