Bridgend Ravens Latest News

20/21 Forwards Retention Confirmed

Following the announcement of the backs retained by Bridgend Ravens, the club are delighted to announce those who have agreed to continue to play in blue and white for 2020/21 amongst the forwards.

Just like the back division, the forward retention has a mix of youthful exuberance and experienced grit that will be tasked with improving the club’s fortunes next season.

Props Owen Jordan, Rhodri Apsee, Rhys Forse, Cai Lewis and Ben Warren will continue to provide the pillar of the Bridgend Ravens front row next season. Joint Players Player of the Season Gareth Harvey has also agreed to stay on for a fourth season in Bridgend Ravens colours and Iestyn Merriman will be looking to edge towards the 150 appearance mark when the season gets back underway.

The two Bens; Jones and Mayers Davies are also staying with the club. There’s a plethora of back row talent too – Dafi Davies, Ollie Young and Rob Dudley Jones, along with Aled Evans who has returned to full fitness following a season of rehab after a serious injury ruled him out of the majority of the last season.

As with every season, we have invited a number of local players to take part in the early stages of pre season to give them an opportunity to earn their place in the squad for the new season. There are also a number of new signings with significant Premiership experience that have agreed to join for next season, which we look forward to bringing you over the coming weeks.
