12 Aug Ravens announce retained backs for 2020/21..
Bridgend Ravens are delighted to confirm that a significant number of last season’s squad have agreed to represent the club in 2020/21. We kick off this season’s announcements with those amongst the back division that have agreed to play on during the new campaign..
The club have retained 22 of last year’s squad and there’s an exciting mix of youth and experience that have agreed to play in blue and white next term. There’s plenty of experience retained amongst the backs, with Nathan Edwards, Jamie Murphy and Chris Williams all having surpassed 150 games for the club.
Also agreeing to continue next season are 2015 SWALEC Cup winning fullback Owen Howe and wide men Tyler Williams and Andrew Evans. They will also be joined by recent addition Adam Jones, who scored a try on his home debut in the club’s last game of last season and Stuart Floyd Ellis who surpassed 50 games for his hometown side last season.
At standoff, the enterprising Jacob Chilcott has agreed to a second season at Bridgend Ravens, with competition coming in the form of youngsterJacob Lloyd, who will be hoping for a big season following some difficult campaigns with injury recently.

Team Manager Ed Griffith commented ‘We are pleased to confirm that we have been able to retain a substantial number of last season’s squad as we look forward to the new season. We are following the Welsh Rugby Union’s protocols closely as we look to get everything in place ready to return to action once it’s safe to do so.
