18 Jul Ravens seal deal for new KIT
Bridgend Ravens are delighted to confirm that the club has penned a three year deal with KIT Sportswear, which will see the manufacturer become the club’s official kit partner.
As part of the deal, KIT Sportswear will manufacture the club’s home and away playing kit, along with a range of on and off field leisurewear for the next three seasons.
Established in 2010, KIT Sportswear are a rapidly expanding sportswear manufacturing company based in Northern Ireland. Along with their Northern Irish base, KIT have a number of representatives around Great Britain, including Mike Butts, one of the Company’s Directors who is based in Mountain Ash.
Having agreed the partnership, Mike said; ‘It’s an honour for us to partner with Bridgend Ravens for the next three seasons. As a business, it was important for our continued growth that we were able to secure a partnership with a leading name in Welsh rugby and they don’t come much bigger than Bridgend Ravens.
It’s an exciting time for both of us; we are looking to continue to build upon a successful few years for KIT and it’s the dawn of a really positive new era for Bridgend Ravens as they come back into local ownership. We’re working hard with the Ravens design team, headed by Rhyd Cole, to produce playing jerseys and some leisurewear that will do justice to the club’s historic blue and white hoops and we’re looking forward to showcasing a range of Bridgend Ravens on and off field kit shortly.’
The club plans to have a fully stocked club shop which will be open on all Bridgend Ravens home match days, with other opening times to be confirmed. The deal will also see the launch of a Bridgend Ravens Online Club Shop, which will ship a range of Bridgend Ravens replica items worldwide. More information on the opening of the online club shop will be unveiled in due course.
There’s been a hugely positive reaction to the leisurewear and playing kit from this season’s squad and management who have all been measured up for their new kit ahead of the big kick off.
Team Manager Ed Griffith commented ‘We’ve been thrilled with the commitment from the KIT team to meet our every need so far. We’re really excited about working with them going forward and the players and management have all been really encouraged by what we’ve seen to date.
An important part of modern sport is that the team feel comfortable in the build up, during, and after games and we’re very confident that KIT will deliver what we’re looking for.
Bridgend Ravens has a proud, successful history on the field and that is symbolised by the blue and white hoops that players such as JPR Williams adorned many years ago. The new kit is a reflection of our proud past but also gives a subtle nod to an exciting future. We’re looking forward to running out in our new KIT jerseys in a few weeks time.’
