10 Aug Dylan Burrows joins Bridgend Ravens

Bridgend Ravens are pleased to announce the signing of second row, Dylan Burrows, who joins the squad from Tonyrefail. 

The lock turned out for Tom Smith’s side at the tail end of last season, starting alongside Jack Pope in the away defeat at Newport. It was an invaluable experience for the 6’5 youngster and he now joins the club on permanent terms for 2023/24.

Burrows had spent 16 years at Tonyrefail; playing through the age grade system, captaining the youth side before transitioning to the senior squad where he had made a huge impact with a number of Man of the Match performances. Along with his experience of Premiership rugby for Bridgend last season, Dylan also joined up with Glamorgan County and featured for the representative side last campaign.

After signing for Bridgend Ravens, Dylan said, “I am really pleased to be given the opportunity to join Bridgend this season. I was able to get some game time at the end of last year and look forward to working hard to further my development this season.”

Bridgend Ravens Team Manager, Meredith Griffith, was pleased to add Burrows to the club’s squad for the coming season, “Dylan is someone that came to our attention last season. He played one game for us at the tail end of the season and showed up very well. He is someone that’s gone under the radar a bit and has huge potential. He has already impressed the coaching staff in pre-season with his size and presence. We are really looking forward to seeing how Dylan grows and develops this season.”
