15 Sep Ravens launch 2023/24 Home jersey
Bridgend Ravens are pleased to launch their Home Playing Jersey for season 2023/24 in conjunction with Macron Cardiff.
The Ravens turned out in the jersey for the first time in Saturday’s home match with Aberavon at the Dunraven Brewery Field. In terms of style, the jersey retains Bridgend’s famous blue with white hoops, plus a striking gold trim to an otherwise all white collar and gold/navy trim to the feature white sleeve. Both the shorts and socks have gone navy blue this season, with the traditional white side panels on the shorts.
As always, Bridgend Ravens are extremely thankful to our loyal sponsors for their continued support of the club – a number of which feature on this year’s home jersey.
Once again, Bridgend Ford are our Principal Match Shirt Sponsor and adorn the front of the jersey. Since renewing links with the club all the way back in 2010, Bridgend Ford’s invaluable support has been unwavering. Father & Son team Gary Pesticcio and Leon Pesticcio, who own and run the business, are huge supporters of the club and Patron Members. The iconic Bridgend Ford logo will now once again sit proudly across the chest of our players when they go into battle.
Dunraven Windows feature on the sleeve of this year’s home jersey. After rejoining us as a commercial partner in 2021 and then becoming our proud Stadium Partner in 2022, Dunraven have expanded their sponsorship with the club further, by adding their established and distinctive brand to the sleeve of our match shirt. The relationship with Dunraven and their management team is very important to the club and we are blessed to have their support.
Roof Top Tiling are another long-term partner to continue their relationship with the club by featuring on the back of the jersey, taking pride of place above the jersey number. MD, Hugh Willliams is a former player and massive supporter, especially as his son Chris has played scrum half for the Ravens since 2012 is rapidly approaching 200 appearances for the club!
Local alloy wheel refurb specialists Wheelz Centre Wales joined forces with us in 2021 and have continued their kit sponsorship for a third consecutive season. Their distinctive brand will again adorn the back of the match shirt, just below the number. Owner, Lloyd Parish is passionate about his support for the club and sport across Bridgend and we look forward to enjoying another exciting season with him.
The Apsee name is steeped in history with the club, with club legend John Apsee widely recognised as one of Bridgend’s best ever centres and nephew Rhod being a fixture in the squad for the last 11 years! We are delighted that the family continue to support the club on the field, in the stand and as a commercial partner. This will be JH Apsee and Sons third successive season as sponsor and second on the back of the match jersey.
The shirt side panels are proudly sponsored by long established architect and engineering partnership, James & Nicholas. Partner Jeoff Houlker has supported Bridgend for many years and is a regular on the terrace! He is truly passionate about helping the Ravens to success both on and off the pitch. This will be the third successive season that James & Nicholas has been a commercial partner to the club and the second season as a match shirt sponsor.
Western Bay Adoption Service is the regional adoption service formed by a collaboration of three local authorities – Bridgend County Borough Council, Neath Port Talbot Council and City and County of Swansea Council. This will be their third successive season as a commercial partner and second as a kit sponsor, with their distinctive logo featuring on the shoulder of the match shirt. The club is very proud of the part we play in helping to raise awareness of such an important service and we hope we can continue to stimulate enquiries to Western Bay from hopeful adopters.
The team at Highland Services have a very long-standing relationship with the club, being our trusted preferred Electrical Contractors for a number of years. After supporting the club with sponsorship on many previous occasions, they returned to the commercial partners fold last year and their brand will run across the shoulder of the match shirt for a second successive season.
Bridgend Ravens have held a strong relationship with Bridgend College for over a decade and the partnership continues to grow. We have recently set up the new Bridgend Rugby Pathway alongside the college, which will help identify, support and provide opportunities for local rugby players to fulfil their potential right here in the county borough. The Ravens also still use the facilities at Pencoed Campus for pre-season training and we hope to see the Bridgend College team run out a few times at the Dunraven Brewery Field this season for some of their key home fixtures.
Quite simply, the Ravens match shorts just wouldn’t look the same without RPM Shopfront Manufacturers sponsoring the side panels! Those distinctive 3 letters have featured on the thighs of our players for around 15 years. Owner and MD, John Mitchell, is part of the fabric of the club (including being our linesman for a couple of years in the Championship!) and we are truly grateful for his very long-standing support.
The Dragon Laser logo is a brand-new addition to the kit, after they joined us as a commercial partner at the midway point of last season. Dragon Laser is based on Brackla Industrial Estate, and is an established, local Laser Shop specialising in laser profiling and cutting of sheet metal. MD, Mark Prime, is a massive rugby fan (and ex player) and has enjoyed re-connecting with his local club and becoming a regular supporter on match days. The Dragon Laser logo will be clearly on view at scrum time and during rucks and mauls.. with it taking pride of place on the seat of the shorts!
