After another short break from match action, Bridgend Ravens begin the final run of Indigo Premiership fixtures for the campaign when Neath visit the Dunraven Brewery Field on Saturday afternoon (2:30pm).

The Ravens will be looking for an improvement on their recent form, which saw them lose 36pts to 13 in their last home match to Ebbw Vale.

Neath picked up an impressive victory in North Wales last weekend, beating RGC 17pts to 15 at Stadiwm CSM. The Welsh All Blacks currently sit at the bottom of the league standings but have been much improved since Christmas – picking up victories over Aberavon, Merthyr and RGC.

The reverse fixture earlier this season went Bridgend’s way as a Luke Price masterclass at outside half saw Tom Smith’s side come away 26pts to 19 victors.

Amongst the backline, Smith largely keeps faith with the players that have appeared since Christmas. Edd Howley, Gabe Lacey and Cam Ellis make up a dangerous back three, with Stuart Floyd Ellis and Tom Morgan the centres. Jamin Hodgkins is again selected at 10 with Chris Williams his half back partner.

In the pack, Harry Olding, Gareth Harvey and Liam Tobias are selected in the front row. Alfie Llewellyn deputises in the second row with Jack Pope injured, alongside Dylan Burrows. Smith selects Iestyn Merriman, Zac O’Driscoll and former Neath captain Jordan Collier as his back row.

There’s some welcome news for Bridgend Ravens as Iwan Griffith returns to the matchday squad for the first time in 336 days following injury. He takes his place amongst the replacements bench.
