26 Mar O’CALLAGHAN JOINS BRIDGEND RAVENS

With the business end of the season now upon us, Bridgend Ravens have bolstered their squad by signing centre Gethin O’Callaghan from RGC.

The midfielder, who hails from Penarth, joins Scott Baldwin’s side with three league games remaining before the end of season playoffs commence in mid April.

Despite his tender age, O’Callaghan has a notable CV, having joined RGC initially from Bristol Bears. He featured regularly for their academy and age grade sides before signing first team terms for the 2024/25 season. He was also included in England’s U20 Elite Player Squad that season in recognition of his form and potential.

At the campaign’s conclusion, O’Callaghan decided to move to North Wales seeking more playing time. He featured at the Electric Brewery Field this season when the Gogs picked up an impressive six point victory and will now add to Bridgend’s options as they look to continue to build momentum with knockout rugby on the horizon.

After joining Bridgend, Gethin said, ‘I’m very excited to have joined Bridgend for the remainder of the season, with plans to move back to South Wales for next season after my time with RGC. Bridgend have an exciting backline and I’m looking forward to getting started with some great players.’
