01 Aug Ravens swoop for second row Maiden
Bridgend Ravens continue to reinforce their squad ahead of the new campaign with the signing of second row, Kyle Maiden, who returns to the club.
The second row returns to the Ravens side having played out the previous few seasons at Bedwas. Maiden made 35 appearances over three seasons for the Gwent side but is delighted to have penned a deal to secure his return to his home town club. A seasoned campaigner at just 28 years old with a depth of Principality Premiership experience having played for Bridgend, Pontypool and Bedwas in the top division, Kyle adds some much needed experience to the youthful Ravens pack.
‘I am absolutely over the moon to be returning to the Bridgend Ford Brewery Field. It’s something I have always wanted to do one day. The opportunity has come around a lot sooner than I expected and I can’t wait for the season to start.
From the first few training sessions I have already noticed that there’s a great team spirit in the squad and that’s going to be important throughout the season.
I can’t wait to get going again this year. I’m really buy valium (diazepam)10mg looking forward to playing in front of the Bridgend supporters again. They stick with the team regardless of the results but as a squad we’re looking forward to giving them some more to cheer about.’
Director of Rugby, Wayne Hall was pleased to add further experience to the Bridgend Ravens squad.
‘It is great for us to have Kyle back at Bridgend. He’s an experienced campaigner who has played Premiership rugby for a long time. Importantly for us, it’s the signing of another local lad which further enforces our commitment to giving opportunities to the best players from the Bridgend borough.
Kyle will bring leadership and an ability to lead the lineout to the squad – he’s already made a great contribution during his short time back in camp and we’re looking forward to that continuing throughout the season.’
