Bridgend Ravens Membership Update – 2020/2021

Bridgend Ravens would like to issue the following update to all Club Members for season 2020/21…

During last summer, we launched a full range of Club Membership packages in good faith that despite the Covid19 pandemic, Indigo Premiership rugby would return in some form for season 2020/21. We received a hugely encouraging response, and we are thankful to everybody that opted to purchase a Club Membership.

Despite the encouraging news of a Covid19 Vaccine rollout across Wales over the coming months, it is now clear there is unlikely to be a substantial amount of competitive rugby played before the scheduled end of Season 2020/21.

At the start of the Alert Level 4 Restrictions, the Welsh Rugby Union announced that National League Rugby will not take place for 2020/21. The Union is hopeful of a return to a form of competitive action for Indigo Premiership and Specsavers Championship clubs later in the spring, albeit to play a modified form of the game. This is likely to mean a small number of games played in 2020/21 before all attentions turn to a return to something approaching ‘normal’ for season 2021/22.

We are extremely thankful to everybody that purchased a Club Membership for 2020/21, but under the current circumstances, we are offering the following options to Club Members:

  1. CREDIT

We have committed to freezing prices for next season for any existing Club Members selecting this option. The Credit option will effectively ‘roll over’ your 2020/21 payment for membership to 2021/22, meaning you will pay nothing additional to watch rugby at the Morganstone Brewery Field next season.

  1. REFUND

We would also be happy to Refund the full amount of your 2020/21 Club Membership to you. We appreciate that times are hard and your investment in a membership was made in good faith and unfortunately rugby has been unable to return as we would have liked it to.
Please note, refunds will be made by cheque and may take up to 6 weeks for our volunteers to process.

For those of you that can, we are also offering an option to Donate your membership fee to the club. As with any business during the Coronavirus pandemic, we have had to continue to run Bridgend Ravens as a business which obviously has financial commitments and hard costs. If you can donate your membership fee for 2020/21 to the club, it will be extremely appreciated, and your money will help to ensure that Bridgend Ravens exits the pandemic in a strong position to kick-off our ambitious plans for the coming seasons.

Please email info@bridgendravens.co.uk or write to us by post to; Bridgend Ravens, Morganstone Brewery Field, Tondu Rd, Bridgend CF31 4JE.

You will need to include your decision – whether you are choosing Credit, Refund or Donate along with your original Order No so that we can trace your original order.

The deadline for your decision is 21 days (22nd March). If after this date we do not have a response from you, we will assume that you are happy for your membership to be credited to Membership for season 2021/22.
