20 May SUPER RYGBI CYMRU LAUNCHED

Bridgend Ravens will kick off the newly launched Super Rygbi Cymru with a trip to last season’s Premiership runners up, Newport in September.

The competition briefly known as the Elite Domestic Competition has had a fresh rebrand ahead of its kick off in September, named as Super Rygbi Cymru and launched on Scrum V on Sunday evening. Full season information is available by visiting the Welsh Rugby Union website, here. 

The league season kicks off at Newport Stadium for the Ravens before their first home fixture against Pontypool a week later.

There’s back to back derby fixtures with the All Whites of Swansea in next two game rounds. Bridgend’s other derby matches against Aberavon take place in October at Talbot Athletic Ground and January at Dunraven Brewery Field.

There’s a further derby period allocated for Christmas time in which Bridgend will face RGC in back to back matches in Christmas week.

The Ravens Super Rygbi Cymru regular league campaign is set to end with Llandovery visiting the Dunraven Brewery Field in April.
