14 Oct Team to face Ebbw Vale at the Brewery

Bridgend Ravens welcome high flying Ebbw Vale to the Dunraven Brewery Field for an Indigo Premiership match on Saturday afternoon (2:30pm).

The Steelmen come to Bridgend territory on the back of a promising start to the campaign. Their last outing was a narrow home reverse to Llandovery in front of the S4C Clic cameras by 23pts to 20. Jason Strange’s men have made a great start to the season, winning 3 of their 5 matches in all competitions so far, and only losing the other two by fine margins. Tom Smith and his team are under no illusions that today’s game will be a stern test for his side.

Bridgend have had a fortnight away from action following the postponement of last Saturday’s game away at Newport. They are yet to register a victory or point in the league to date having lost all three of their league games, at Aberavon and Pontypridd, and at home to Merthyr last time out. Saturday’s game represents the opportunity to kick start their league season. It’s the first of back to back home games for Bridgend, with next Saturday seeing them host Aberavon with a chance to secure progression to the knockout stages of the cup when Aberavon are the visitors.
