08 Aug Tommy Morgan re-joins Bridgend Ravens!

Bridgend Ravens are pleased to announce the signing of Tommy Morgan, who returns to the Dunraven Brewery Field following a short stint with Pontypridd RFC.

The 27-year-old centre previously represented the club between 2021 and 2022, making seventeen appearances and scoring twice. Prior to that, he spent five years at Cardiff Met RFC and enjoyed a spell with Manly Marlins in Australia. He also has representative honours with England Schools U18s and Wales Students.

Last season saw Tommy make the move to Sardis Road, where he made 23 appearances for the Valley Commandos. Currently undergoing rehabilitation following a knee injury, Tom is excited to get back in action at the Dunraven Brewery Field, ‘I am really excited to be back at Bridgend. It’s a club that means a lot to me and I have had some brilliant memories here and can’t wait to make many more.

It’s a great group of players to be involved with and we can achieve some real success this season.’

Bridgend Ravens Backs Coach, Matthew Jones ‘We are delighted that Tom has agreed to re-join the club from Pontypridd this season. Tom first joined us for the 2020/21 season from UWIC so will know the majority of the squad and backroom staff. He will add strength and depth to our backline and in particular at centre, creating more competition for places. 

Tom is a physical player in both attack and defence. Tom will hopefully win collisions and win the gain line with his strong ball carrying ability, on the flip side I’m looking forward to seeing him stopping the opposition attack with some big defensive displays. Tom also has other qualities to his game besides his physicality. He has a good skill set and is able to create opportunities for others through his passing game. 

I’m looking forward to seeing him back playing in the Bridgend jersey this season putting in some strong all round performances as we have previously seen from him when playing for the Ravens.’
