28 Feb TEAM TO FACE LLANDOVERY AT CHURCH BANK

Bridgend Ravens head to Llandovery in Round 3 of the Super Rygbi Cup on Saturday needing victory to keep alive their hopes of making the SRC Cup Final later in the month (2:30pm).

The Ravens started their cup journey with a disappointing 36pts to 25 defeat at Aberavon before beating Cardiff at the Dunraven Brewery Field last time out, 27pts to 19.

Llandovery are top of the pool with two wins from their two games – an enthralling 40pts to 33 win at Church Bank against Cardiff, following that up with a thumping 61pts to 28 win against RGC in North Wales a fortnight ago.

Those results leave Llandovery top of the standings on 11 points (having played two games), RGC sit second, also on 11 points (having played 3 matches), with Bridgend and Aberavon following on 6 points (both played 2 matches). Cardiff are bottom on 4 points from 3 games. The top side progresses to the final in March, with Bridgend also having RGC to play at the Dunraven Brewery Field on the 15th of that month.

The sides have met once already this season in Super Rygbi Cymru league action, when the Drovers overcame a dogged Bridgend Ravens side 28pts to 12 at Church Bank. The Ravens will be looking for their first win at the ground since 2022 (30pts to 29).
