08 Jul BRIDGEND RAVENS STATEMENT
Ospreys Rugby have confirmed their intention to move to a new, purpose built stadium at St Helen’s in Swansea from the 2025/26 season.
The Dunraven Brewery Field, along with the Swansea venue, had been mooted as potential new homes for the region, who completed a robust and thorough review process to select their long term home following the conclusion of the coming season. That’s now set to be St Helen’s with the Ospreys formally announcing their decision via the club website earlier today.
Bridgend Ravens General Manager, Tony Williams commented “Although it is disappointing that Bridgend was not selected as the new home of Ospreys rugby, we wish them well with their move to St Helen’s and hope that the region continues to flourish and deliver the results we’ve seen in recent seasons.
Collectively with Bridgend Council, we are proud of the proposals that we were able to present to the Ospreys to bring professional regional rugby to the town; however, it wasn’t to be.
We wish Lance Bradley, his staff and the team well with their move and one thing these talks have done is enhance our already strong relationship with our region. This is a relationship which we are certain will continue to grow and look forward to working with the Ospreys in the future.”
