Bridgend Ravens head to Bournville on Saturday afternoon for their opening pre-season friendly at Avery Fields (2:30pm).

The sides met in pre-season at Dunraven Brewery Field ahead of last season with the Ravens coming out narrow 34pts to 31 victors.

Saturday’s game gives new Head Coach, Scott Baldwin, the opportunity to cast his eyes over his squad and he gives debuts to five starters. Wing Jake Thomas, forwards Curtis Greenslade, prop Marley Lovell, second row Joe Buckle and back row Ioan Pascoe all joined up with the club in pre-season and will get their first taste of action for the club in the cross border clash.

Amongst the replacements, hooker Dafydd Evans is another new face to Bridgend fans and will be looking to make his first appearance for the club should he appear.
