17 Apr TEAM TO FACE LLANDOVERY AT THE BREWERY

Bridgend Ravens round off the regular Super Rygbi Cymru league season with a televised clash against Llandovery at the Dunraven Brewery Field on Thursday evening (7:30pm).

Bridgend have an outside chance of qualifying automatically for the end of season playoffs by finishing sixth but will be relying on other results to go their way this weekend, having been leapfrogged by Carmarthen Quins and Aberavon last weekend.

Llandovery are safely secured in a home playoff place and bounced back from a surprising defeat to Swansea to beat Cardiff at the Arms Park last weekend, 48pts to 43.

The sides have met twice this season with Llandovery winning both. The latest was a humdinger of a Super Rygbi Cymru Cup match with the Drovers winning 50pts to 35. The league fixture, also at Church Bank, ended 28pts to 12.

Scott Baldwin makes seven changes to his starting lineup for Thursday’s game. Ryan Wilkins comes back into the starting lineup following his cameo from the bench last weekend and Chris Williams starts at 9.

There’s wholesale changes in the forwards – Evan Yardley starts at hooker, Matholwch Iorwerth Scott at tighthead and there’s a new second row combination of James Owen and Dylan Burrows. Captain Zac O’Driscoll also returns to the side.
