29 Nov Team to face Llandovery
Bridgend Ravens next Super Rygbi Cymru assignment is a trip to last season’s double Champions, Llandovery on Saturday (2:30pm).
The Drovers saw their last match against Cardiff called off due to the perils of Storm Bert last weekend, so haven’t been in action since 26th October when they won 33pts to 26 at Talbot Athletic Ground against Aberavon.
Bridgend were agonisingly beaten 35pts to 29 at home to Carmarthen last Friday evening. Despite outscoring the visitors 5 tries to 4, a supremo performance from Scarlets’ outside half Charlie Titcombe saw the West Walians win their first away game of the season and condemn Bridgend to a fourth straight defeat.
Last season, Llandovery did the double over Bridgend – winning on the final day by 62pts to 13 at Church Bank. Bridgend’s last win at the home of the Drovers was also on the final day in 2022, winning 30pts to 29.
For Saturday’s game, Scott Baldwin makes a handful of changes. There is just one change in the backs, with Joseph Gatt coming into the side for Iwan Griffith who drops to the bench.
Amongst the forwards, Tyler Olding starts following a two try cameo on his debut last Friday. Kyle Harris is the other change, coming into the side for Jordan Collier who retired following last Friday’s match.
