TEAM TO FACE SWANSEA AT THE BREWERY

Bridgend Ravens and Swansea go head to head for the second time in less than a week this Thursday as Super Rygbi Cymru reaches its fourth match day (7:30pm).

It was just last Saturday that the sides last met and a late Chris Williams try was enough for Scott Baldwin’s side to edge a tight all Ospreys derby.

Swansea are bottom of the early Super Rygbi Cyrmu standings, having lost their opening three matches to Carmarthen Quins, Newport and Bridgend but will be buoyed by last weekend’s performance as they look to get their first win of the competitive season this weekend.

Bridgend have one win from three – that victory at St Helen’s last weekend, but picked up bonus points in defeat to Pontypool and Newport to put them on 7 league points. Saturday’s victory was a hard earned one and they know they’ll need to be at their best to repeat that this Thursday.

In team news, there’s just one change to the backline as Chris Williams, fresh from his try scoring heroics of last weekend, starts at 9.

The front row gets some fresh faces with Evan Yardley and Liam Tobias, making his 50th appearance for the club, given starts. It’s an all Ospreys second row with Evan Hill and debutant Lewis Jones selected. Barnaby Waddell moves to 6 in a back row with Zac O’Driscoll and Thomas Jevons.

Tight head prop, James Williams, a summer addition from Ystalyfera, will be hoping to make his club debut should he come off the bench.
