08 Jul DIXON JOINS AS ASSISTANT COACH

Bridgend Ravens have boosted their coaching lineup ahead of the upcoming season with the addition of James Dixon as Assistant Coach.

Dixon brings a wealth of experience to the Ravens having had a hugely successful playing career and stints coaching two of Wales’ most successful semi professional clubs. The former outside-half played across South Wales – featuring for clubs including Cardiff, Newport, Carmarthen Quins, Swansea, Bedwas and of course, Bridgend.

He was part of the Bridgend Ravens side which famously won the club’s third Welsh Cup in 2015, and played in blue and white between 2013 and 2015, amassing 49 appearances and 277 points.

After hanging up his boots, he transitioned to coaching at Cardiff RFC, developing their attack over several seasons as the capital side regularly challenged at the top of the Premiership. In 2020, Dixon returned to Newport RFC as their backs coach, a role he fulfilled until recently.

Now, he joins Bridgend Ravens as Head Coach Scott Baldwin bolsters his back room staff with an exciting 2025/26 on the horizon.
