19 Sep Team to face Ebbw Vale at the Brewery

Bridgend Ravens are home again on Saturday when last season’s Super Rygbi Cymru runners up Ebbw Vale visit the Dunraven Brewery Field (2:30pm).

Both sides won their opening league matches last weekend. Bridgend left it late before downing Carmarthen Quins (27pts to 24) with Ebbw Vale beating Aberavon at Ciner Glass Community Stadium (36pts to 17).

The Steelmen have recruited well again this summer, adding to an already strong and settled squad with landmark signings such as Dorian Jones and Charlie Manship.

Last season, Ebbw came out on top in both matches between the teams. They won 34pts to 18 at the Brewery, before winning 48pts to 17 in Gwent.

Bridgend haven’t beaten Ebbw at home since 2022 and will need to be at their very best if they’re to see off Jason Strange’s side this weekend. Scott Baldwin sticks largely with the side which was victorious last weekend, the only changes coming amongst the front row with both props refreshed.
