Ebbw Vale have put together an impressive run of results in their Super Rygbi Cymru campaign so far. The Steelmen are currently  top of the table with some comprehensive wins in recent weeks.

Last time out, the Steelmen won 45pts to 26 at Talbot Athletic Ground against Aberavon. This followed a comfortable 38pts to 6 win over Carmarthen Quins and wins against RGC and Swansea.

Bridgend’s last match was a washout, with the game scheduled against Carmarthen Quins at The Park postponed due to a waterlogged pitch. They were last in action against Swansea at the Electric Brewery Field, when a late Lewis Edwards try denied Scott Baldwin’s side a victory with the tie ending 29pts a-piece.

Earlier in the season, Ebbw ran out 34-17 winners when the sides met at the Electric Brewery Field in September, with an early second half masterclass in forward power ultimately deciding the result.

For Saturday’s match, Bridgend are bolstered with the return of Barnaby Waddell from international duty with Canada, and regional enforcements in the form of Alfie Thomas, Tom Florence and Evan Hill.
