21 Nov TEAM TO FACE SWANSEA AT THE ELECTRIC BREWERY FIELD
Bridgend Ravens round off a trio of home games when Swansea visit the Electric Brewery Field on Friday evening (7:30pm) for the club’s annual Pathway match.
The Ravens are on a poor run of form which has seen them fall to defeats in their last four matches – at Pontypool (43pts to 10), Llandovery (35pts to 17) and at home to Newport (40pts to 29) and most recently, a home humbling against RGC (54pts to 26). Those results have left Bridgend cemented to the bottom place of the Super Rygbi Cymru standings.
Swansea have been much improved this season and have three wins to their name so far – including a hugely impressive double over last season’s champions Newport.
The sides met three times last season, with Scott Baldwin’s men winning all three – including two games at home. The first was a six point victory as the Ravens stormed to a 38pts to 10 success, before a wildcard playoff comeback epic saw Bridgend advance to the quarter finals, coming back from a 16pt deficit to win 33pts to 30. The Ravens also won a tight affair at St Helen’s 27pts to 24.
For Friday’s match, there are returns for Luke Price and Edd Howley, with the latter making his 100th club appearance for Bridgend Ravens. Harry Olding is back from a short loan stint at Worcester Warriors and Ben Evans and Callum Donoghue-Proud return having represented Wales u19 in France last weekend.
