14 Aug Team to face Bedwas at the Bridge Field

Bridgend Ravens kick off their 2026/27 pre-season campaign with a trip to Premiership side Bedwas on Friday evening in the first of the club’s pre-season friendlies (7:15pm)

Bedwas stormed to promotion last season in the WRU National Championship, also winning the Championship Cup against Bridgend Athletic at Principality Stadium and are preparing for a return to the Premiership this season.

The sides haven’t met since 2019, with Bedwas taking the spoils at the Bridge Field by 31pts to 24 and 22pts to 16 at the Brewery Field. That wasn’t enough for the men from Gwent to avoid relegation to the Championship though, as the Ravens earned their place in the Premiership with a hard fought win at Sardis Road on the final day of the campaign.

Scott Baldwin names an experimental side, including a large contingent of travelling replacements as preparations ramp up for the start of Super Rygbi Cymru next month.
