Bridgend Ravens are on the road again this Saturday when Super Rygbi Cymru resumes, for a tie against Pontypool at Pontypool Park (2:30pm).

The Ravens come into the match in buoyant mood following a bonus point win over Aberavon last time out. Bridgend left it late, but an epic second half comeback saw them win 36pts to 26 and avenge the previous Thursday’s narrow defeat against the same opponents at the Brewery Field.

Pontypool have an identical record to Bridgend’s – winning two of their opening four matches. Like Scott Baldwin’s side, they won on the opening weekend, beating Swansea at Pontypool Park 25pts to 13 and a 24pts to 21 win against Carmarthen last time out, leaving them undefeated at the Park so far this season.

Last season, Pooler won both ties between the sides. The Gwent side won 29pts to 26 in Bridgend and followed that up with 58pts to 25 win at Pontypool Park.

Bridgend stick largely with the squad which has seen them through the early rounds of Super Rygbi Cymru. Edd Howley makes a return to the starting lineup, with Jake Thomas also making a timely return from injury. Lewis Jones makes his first appearance of the season for Bridgend, taking his place in the second row.
