09 Jan TEAM TO FACE PONTYPOOL AT THE BREWERY

Bridgend Ravens welcome Pontypool to the Electric Brewery Field on Saturday afternoon for the club’s first match of 2026 (2:30pm).

The tie pits the 9th and 10th placed Super Rygbi Cymru sides against one another as the final round of regular SRC fixtures takes place before Super Rygbi Cymru enters the cup phase.

The clash earlier this season saw Pontypool pick up a comprehensive 6 point victory, steamrolling to a 43pts to 10 win at Pontypool Park. The men of Gwent have three wins from their 12 games to date.

There are a few changes to Bridgend’s last lineup as the Ravens go in search of their first win since October. There’s a new centre partnership with Tom Florence and Ben Burnell paired together, with Luke Price starting at 10 and Dan Roderick coming in at 9.

In the pack, Will Greatbanks and Evan Hill comprise an all Ospreys second row partnership, and Iestyn Merriman is once again selected in the Bridgend back row, making his 150th club appearance.

Matholwch Iorwerth Scott is poised to make his first Bridgend appearance of the season following injury, should he appear from the replacements bench.
