06 Feb TEAM TO FACE LLANDOVERY AT CHURCH BANK

Bridgend Ravens travel to Llandovery on Saturday afternoon in the next round of Super Rygbi Cymru Cup Fixtures (1:30pm). 

Both sides are unbeaten so far – Llandovery have two 6 point wins to their name and Bridgend a victory in their only game so far, a home win over Aberavon by 15pts to 14.

The Drovers lead the group and have one foot in the cup semi finals. This year’s competition will see the top two of each pool qualify for the Cup semi finals and teams placed 3 and 4 face off in the Plate knockouts – so there’s something to play for right up to the end of the group stages for each side.

For Saturday’s match, Bridgend make a number of changes to the side which drew 17pts a-piece at Carmarthen last weekend. There’s a reshuffle in the back line – with Fraser Jones moving to 15, Gabe Lacey coming in on the wing and a new midfield partnership of Tommy Morgan and Rhydian Greenhall. Lloyd Wilkins starts at 10 with Harvey Nash at 9.

Barnaby Waddell returns to action in the second row with Kyle Harris replacing the cup tied Iestyn Merriman in the back row.

Amongst Bridgend’s replacements, there’s a potential competitive debut for Morgan Boobyer.
