Bridgend Ravens welcome Indigo Premiership league leaders Llandovery to the Dunraven Brewery Field on Saturday afternoon, looking to extend their current home winning streak (2:30pm).

The Ravens are unbeaten at home in 2023 in a run of results that has seen five consecutive wins against Pontypridd, Newport, RGC, Llanelli and Carmarthen Quins.

Llandovery went top of the league on Saturday with a comprehensive 54pts to 19 win over Llanelli at Church Bank. They now lead the standings ahead of reigning champions Cardiff who have a game in hand on the West Walians.

The reverse game earlier this season went Llandovery’s way, but they were made to work hard for victory, not taking the lead until the 75th minute before coming away 28pts to 13 victors. Bridgend’s try that evening was scored by Chris Williams, with Luke Price kicking the rest of the points. The Ravens indiscipline that day, seeing Price and Nathan Edwards yellow carded and will need to be at their best this Saturday to pick up a win.

There are some changes to the side which last featured at the Wern last weekend. Amongst the backline, Ryan Edwards returns from injury to take his place on the right wing, with Rhys Williams coming in to the midfield. Chris Williams regains the 9 jersey.

There’s a reshuffle in the pack with Harry Olding handed the start at loosehead prop. Reuben Tucker moves to 6 in place of the injured Iestyn Merriman, with Zac O’Driscoll and Jordan Collier the other back row selections.

There could be a Bridgend Ravens debut for 18 year old Harri Ford who is selected on the replacements bench.
