MINUTES OF THE AGM OF CLWB RYBGI PENYBONT AR OGWR HELD AT THE DUNRAVEN BREWERY FIELD ON WEDNESDAY 24Th MAY AT 7PM

The Agenda is below . The meeting was chaired (in the absence of the President, JPR Williams) by Norman Spain.

1) The Chairman welcomed Members to the meeting

2) Members stood in honour of the many departed Members, the most recent being John Brown whose funeral is to be held later in the month

3) A Resolution as attached was approved to convert the company to a charitable company

4) The creation of Bridgend Rugby Football Club within Clwb was approved save that (a) the Club Chairman and Club Secretary to each serve for two overlapping years – to provide continuity and (b) the number of Life Members – in view of the number of likely candidates and the time since any were last appointed- to be up to 7 Life Members.

5) Hopkin Joseph’s presentation of the accounts was noted

6)  (a) Hopkin Joseph , Norman Spain and Tony Williams were re-elected as Clwb Trustees, Carwyn Jones was invited to become a Clwb Trustee

      (b)  JPR Williams was re-elected for a further 5 years as Club President

      (c) Norman Spain was re-elected for a 12 month term as Club Chairman

      (d) Tony Williams was re-elected for a 2 year term as Club Secretary

       (e) Meredydd James, David Locke, Peter Woods and Richard “Dicky” Evans were elected to join John Goss , Edward Jones and Lyndon Thomas as Life Members

7) Norman Spain’s update, as Chairman of BRRC, as to the playing results of the 2022/23 season was noted

8) Norman Spain’s update, as Chairman of BRRC, as to the financial challenges of the season 2022/23 for BRRC was noted

9) Tony Williams update, as Club Secretary and General Manager of BRRC, as to the intended structure of and specific roles within BRRC for season 2023/24 was noted

10  Tony Williams update, as BRRC Club Secretary and General Manager of BRRC, as to the current position of discussions with the WRU as to what might happen for season 2024/25 was noted

11 ) Hopkin Joseph’s update, as Chairman of BFL, as to BFL’s future for season 2023/24 was noted

12) AOB . It was felt inappropriate to raise any matters at the meeting
