29 Dec Team to face Aberavon at the Talbot Athletic Ground
Bridgend Ravens make the short trip to the Talbot Athletic Ground for another derby match with Aberavon on Saturday (2:30pm).
Things could barely be tighter between the sides in the Indigo Premiership with Jason Hyatt’s Wizards sitting a point above Tom Smith’s side.
Both sides will be looking to bounce back from derby defeats last time out. Bridgend lost out at home to Swansea by 20pts to 12 with Aberavon losing against Neath by 24pts to 19.
The Ravens are boosted by the return of full-back Edd Howley for Saturday’s match and he comes straight into the side to face the Wizards. He’s joined in the back three by Caine Woolerton and Stuart Floyd-Ellis. In midfield, Tommy Morgan and Joseph Gatt are paired with Callaghan Smith selected at 9, alongside Rhys Williams who again starts at outside half.
Gareth Harvey makes a return to the starting XV with Alfie Llewellyn moving to the second row in the only changes to Bridgend’s pack.
There could be a club debut for utility back Olly James, selected on permit from Cardiff Met, amongst Bridgend’s replacements.
