29 Mar Team to face Pontypool

Bridgend Ravens are on the road again this Saturday with a trip to Pontypool Park to face Pontypool on Saturday afternoon (2:30pm).

It’s been a great debut season on their return to the Indigo Premiership for Pooler, who currently sit in sixth place with 11 wins from their 19 league games to date. Last weekend, they picked up a comfortable win against Neath at the Gnoll by 40pts by 24 to keep their playoff hopes well and truly alive.

Bridgend beat RGC at Stadiwm CSM for the first time last weekend to record back to back victories as they look to end the season on a high. Zac O’Driscoll’s late try secured victory for the Ravens.

Earlier this season, Bridgend were victorious at Dunraven Brewery Field by 27pts to 23 but the sides haven’t met at Pontypool Park since 2019 when Pooler knocked Bridgend out of the Welsh National Cup at the Quarter Final Stage.

For Saturday’s game, Iwan Griffith makes his first start since his return from long term injury. There’s a new face amongst Bridgend’s replacements with Ospreys Academy back row Kyle Harris set to make his debut if he takes to the field.
