12 Jul CURTIS GREENSLADE SIGNS FOR BRIDGEND RAVENS

Bridgend Ravens can confirm that hooker Curtis Greenslade has joined the club ahead of the new season.

Greenslade, son of former Bridgend captain Ian, joins the club having featured for Pontypridd last season who he joined from his local club Treorchy. The abrasive hooker featured 17 times for Pontypridd, making a big impression at the Valley Commandos finished in seventh place in the Indigo Premiership.

Greenslade was delighted to join Bridgend, saying “I’m looking forward to the new season getting underway. Pre season is going well, and there’s a good group of boys here at Bridgend.”

The 23 year old former Cardiff Blues age grade hooker, who has also played for Merthyr in the Indigo Premiership, bolsters the Bridgend Ravens pack after the departure of Gareth Harvey to Kenfig Hill and joins Evan Yardley as hooking options as Bridgend embark on their inaugural Super Rygbi Cymru season. He joins fellow former Pontypridd players Harvey Nash, Ben Burnell, Ryan Wilkins, and Mccauley Rowley in departing for the Dunraven Brewery Field.

“We’re delighted that Curtis has joined us in an area that we needed to strengthen”, said Bridgend Ravens Head Coach Scott Baldwin.

“He performed very well at Pontypridd last season and also at Treorchy previous to that. He comes highly recommended by those who have worked with him and we are looking forward to working with him now that we have begun our pre-season preparation.”
