24 Mar STATEMENT – BREWERY FIELD CLUBHOUSE
Bridgend Ravens are pleased to announce that as of last weekend (22nd March), the running of the bars and all licensed areas will come under the control of the club.
This follows a very successful 30 months in which the club has been fortunate to have worked with Russ Keeble and Chris Murphy who are experienced operators of various establishments in the town and who stepped in to help us when we had no options available.
During their tenure, they have run the bars successfully and the decision has been made by mutual agreement. This arrangement is part of a natural progression for Bridgend Ravens, with exciting future plans for the stadium to be revealed in due course.
Club Chairman, Norman Spain commented ‘I would like to extend our thanks and appreciation to Russ & Chris during their tenure at the club, we have enjoyed working with them and they have been a great asset to the club and for that we are very grateful. We are very excited to have the bars back under our control as part of our ongoing plans to improve the Brewery Field.
We have put in place temporary measures to run the club until the end of the season, with the summer break providing us with an opportunity of making a more permanent appointment of a steward for our bars.
This is the first of a number of exciting off the field announcements that the club will be making over the next few months, as we look forward to next season.
We look forward to bringing the clubhouse back to its former glory, with plans for it to become a focal point for the area not just on match days but for private and corporate functions too.’
