25 Aug AN UPDATE ON THE ELECTRIC BREWERY FIELD

Following years of hard work and planning by a number of people connected with the club, we are pleased to confirm that work to install a full-size 3G playing surface at the Electric Brewery Field is scheduled to commence in early 2027.

The landmark project will provide a significant new community asset for Bridgend, creating increased opportunities for rugby and other sporting activity at the stadium throughout the year.

We are extremely grateful for the support and assistance of our delivery partners at Bridgend County Borough Council, the Welsh Rugby Union and Sport Wales, whose continued support has helped bring this long-standing ambition closer to reality.

The installation of the all-weather surface represents the next major phase of improvements at the Electric Brewery Field, following the recent refurbishment of the stadium’s hospitality suites and their transformation into a new Business Hub.

Chairman of Bridgend Ravens, Tony Williams, said: “This has been a long and, at times, drawn-out process over a number of years, but we are delighted that we will finally achieve our ultimate goal of a new 3G pitch at the Electric Brewery Field.

This is fantastic news not only for Bridgend Ravens, but also for other clubs and organisations across the area. The borough will have its first competitive full-size 3G surface, creating opportunities for more rugby and other sporting activity to take place at the Electric Brewery Field throughout the year.

We believe this will also bring significant benefits to the wider town, increasing footfall for local businesses and helping us attract larger sporting events to Bridgend in the future.

We are hugely grateful to everyone who has helped us reach this point. There has been a tremendous amount of work behind the scenes to make this possible, and we look forward to confirming the commencement date for the works in due course.”

The new surface will provide Bridgend Ravens and the wider community with a modern, high-quality facility capable of supporting increased participation and activity at the Electric Brewery Field all year round.
