Team to face Beddau

Bridgend Ravens head to Beddau on Saturday in their final pre-season match which kicks off at the slightly earlier time of 2pm.

The Ravens are two wins from two in pre-season to date, with victories over Bedwas and Neath so far. Saturday’s match against Beddau is Scott Baldwin’s final opportunity to assess his options before the Super Rygbi Cymru kick-off at Aberavon on 12th September.

Beddau lost against Newport last weekend by 14pts to 44, but beat Old Redcliffians 29pts to 7 the week before as they prepare for another season of Premiership rugby and a league opener with Bedwas on the 5th September.

The sides last met in 2019 – when Beddau staged a famous cupset by dumping Bridgend from the Welsh Cup, winning 34pts to 21.

For Saturday’s match, the coaches have once again named an extended squad as they look to finalise their team selection with the competitive season just a fortnight away.
