TEAM TO FACE SWANSEA AT ST HELEN’S

Bridgend Ravens round off block one of Super Rygbi Cymru’s opening set of fixtures with a trip to the newly refurbished St Helen’s to face Swansea on Friday evening (7:30pm).

Baldwin’s men have had a decent start to 2026/27 so far – but hit a bump in the road at the Arms Park on Saturday when the Blue and Blacks stormed to a 31pts to 0 win in treacherous conditions.

Swansea got their first win of the season in their last outing – also against Cardiff, a fortnight ago. The All Whites came away 26pts to 3 winners and will be continue their momentum against Bridgend.

League matches of late have tended to go Bridgend’s way at Swansea’s home venue – with a 34pts to 33 win at Dunvant last season the latest success in that run. In 2024/25, Bridgend won 27pts to 24 and in 2023/24 by 28pts to 27.

The sides have met this season, as recently as September, when Bridgend were forced to come back from 21pts to 0 down to draw 26 all. Games between the sides are always close fought affairs, and Friday promises more of the same.

There is some welcome injury news for Bridgend: Ryan Conbeer returns after missing last weekend’s defeat in Cardiff, and Lloyd Wilkins makes his comeback for the first time this campaign.
