06 Aug THOMAS JEVONS SIGNS FOR BRIDGEND RAVENS

Bridgend Ravens are delighted to confirm the signing of back rower Thomas Jevons, who joins the club from Merthyr.

The experienced back rower has featured for the Ironmen in the Welsh Premiership over the last few seasons, while he has also represented Ystrad Rhondda in the Welsh Championship and La Vila Rugby, in Spain, who he helped to promotion to Spain’s top flight in 2020-21.

A sevens specialist who has turned out for Ponty Butchers 7’s this summer across Europe with the likes of fellow Bridgend Ravens players Harvey Nash, Ben Burnell, Ryan Wilkins and Cameron Ellis, Jevons is at home across all three positions in the back row and will add depth to the Bridgend Ravens pack ahead of the new Super Rygbi Cymru season.

On arriving at the Dunraven Brewery Field, Jevons is looking forward to being a part of the Bridgend Ravens Squad.

“I’m excited to be joining the Ravens this year”, said Jevons. It being such a historic club brings new challenges and fantastic opportunities for me. I’ve been made very welcomed by the boys and the club, and the vision / goal of the club is something I want to be a part of. I can’t wait to rip in.”

Bridgend Ravens Head Coach Scott Baldwin is looking forward to the potential that Jevons could have on the squad, commenting, “Thomas is a great addition for us. He’s very physical, he’s very quick, is a great tackler and is great over the ball. He’ll add something different to our back row unit, and we’re looking forward to seeing him in action when we get underway later this month.”
